The 2008 Carlino Identity This guitar, completely designed and built in the United States is a comglomeration of three classic designs, morphed a bit, into one great new classic shape. Using the best materials available, the guitar encompasses great balance of tone and design. Using CAD technology to ensure greater accuracy and consistency, the guitars are incredibly alike but tone is based upon wood choice. We use only the best Sapele or African Mahogany for the bodies and necks and fingerboards that are of the darkest ebony this side of Africa. The tops are chosen for tone and figure and come in a wide variety of choices. These include Flamed Maple, Flamed Claro Walnut, Quilted Maple, Spalted Maple, Flamed Redwood, Bubinga and Others. Subtle arm relief in the upper right quadron and a tummy cut on the back make this an ergonomically comfortable heavy player. It also has rounded over fingerboard binding and a very comfortable V/C shaped neck with a 12" radius on the fingerboard. Basically abalone or pearl block inlays are optional with dots or trapezoids also. Pickups are Seymour Duncan SH1 '59 Model and an SH-6 Distortion Models. These are available in double black, creme, or covered in nickel or gold. Original Floyd Rose bridges and chosen for their strength and stability in tuning. All back plates that are utilized often feature threaded metal inserts to prevent stripping An ECK Low Fi 22db gain booster is supplied with every model in the last knob position and will give a low end growl with virtually no clipping or feedback even at full level open.
