Holy Crap I did not expect this |
| Ok, so first look at this guitar, you think stealth. Layered 3 dimensionally carved body planes in one guitar. A CAD programmers nightmare but it was planned and executed and is complete What a guitar. You pick it up it feels like a USA, honestly. It's the balance, the weight, the neck shape (key here) and the look. It can get by on looks alone but that wasn't the plan here. The plan was to show the players that you can design and build a guitar with 30+ years of evolving energy behind it that makes you turn your head and say WTF is that? And still come in under a grand. BUT wait, it has powered EMG's, 85/81, an Original Floyd Rose Tremolo, an alder body, a mahogany neck, an ebonized rosewood fingerboard and a feel that is reminiscent of a USA built instrument. I've gone over this guitar the past day and this thing kills. It will take the rock scene by storm and leave few survivors and those that are left may not even have the strength to go on. Subtle over lapping design lines lurk but are evident that these guitars are all part of a family of instruments design by Dean Zelinsky. The ebonized rosewood fingerboard is a dream , the fret ends are smooth and rounded over with no sharp edges and runs are liquid and smooth feeling across the fingerboard You can see DNA from a Bolero and a Barchetta in the join area between the right front cutaway and the bottom right wing where they meet. It's subtle but it's there. Also there are ground breaking design cues that takes guts to come out with and this guitar is bullet proof. With it's satin black paint and all black hardware to the EMG ammunition wired into the circuit, it's going to be hard to beat this guitar. The tone is cutting and the sustain is endless. It's a pure rock machine. The new design of the headstock is really something to stare at and it is all about the headstock when it comes to guitar design Some say they should have kept the original design and some like this one. This one is totally new and exciting. It's mutli-planed and has a set in metal emblem, the company's logo in between the asymmetrical pointed head shape. It's totally alien in form and there's nothing else out there like it, the satin black paint only make it more ominous. Good word for this guitar, ominous...just plain evil, it's ROCK. and the case...great fit, form shaped inside and very soft velour like fur. Black tolex outside for now, but i understand a new design is coming. The street price on this DBZ Bird of Prey Import guitar is $999 and comes with case my score on this model ***** |
