| MAP Pricing explanation Map Pricing is a pricing guideline that manufacturers set in place to set a standard for advertising prices for their products on the internet and in print, (catalog or newspaper). Usually set as a percentage of an item's list price, it is there to assure no one dealer can under cut another in the retail setting of the advertising world. These MAP pricing rules usually are accompanied by a contract signed by the dealer and manufacturer and are binding. While a manufacturer can not legally tell you what to "sell" it for they can tell you what you can advertise it for. USA built guitars are usually built on higher pricing structure due to increased labor costs and materials cost while imported guitars are usually lower priced due to less expensive with materials not as high quality and lower labor rates. Always call me for a lower price and we will try to give you the best deal possible. However we can only post the reference prices on the web site. And you will see that all other places will have the same price if they play by the rules... 781-391-4600 call for a killer deal |
