On a builder's standpoint, I look at everything, the seams, the join lines, the figuring of the top, the smart well thought out angled radius round over of the koa top to the contrast of the Stevens front neck fascia to the expertly routed back plate cavities. The guys who made this guitar, liked making this guitar. You can tell, from the minute you open the custom case, from the aroma of the oiled finish to the lustre of the flamed Hawaiian Koa top, it just overwhelms you. All we could say was...wow This is a special instrument, it's well planned and unequivocally resonant, thanks to the Korina body back and we all know what that does to a guitar to the limited edition of being only 1 of 100 instruments made. Decide for yourself if this is something you can't go on without Even the case exudes the wow factor. Completely redone, by TKL, and form fit for the body and the interior wrapped in deep wine red crushed velour interior, the new case rocks... Oh yea, I forgot about the bottle of black nail polish in the compartment that Nuno wanted to include, in case there are No Regrets when you're in All Automatic mode. Get it before I buy it, and I'm all about the wood. You can walk into my shop at any given time and see billets of Quilted Maple, Hawaiian Koa, Claro Walnut, Spalted Maple or White Korina stacked up against every corner of the store that i use for the guitars I build so it wont be here long...
